I liked the idea of having my samples like stepping stones, coming from a case like pages of a diary once encased inside a bound book, finally free , like they have been torn out and scattered.
This idea came from going to the beach with my samples, there was something about them being laid out along the sand, that clicked with this idea of my samples being a daily representation, like someone writing in their diary... but when i laid them out in the corridor for my Group tutorial, it just didn't have the aesthetic and what once felt right and had a strong narrative, became quiet vulnerable and lost, in a studio enviroment.
