Kate Marsden - 'A Knitted Diary'

I first came across this exhibition at Jo Aylwin's Studio in Farnham, Surrey.
It really captured my attention how she had used textiles to create this tactile ability to show her emotions, that with the use of colour, i think made a really powerful concept.

When this exhibition first came into Jo's studio, the knitted books were all stacked up on a plinth, and were being overlooked by a lot of people, no one wanted to interact with the pieces or really understood what they were. I was lucky enough to be given the chance to re arrange this exhibition, and once they were laid out on the table, people really loved that they could hold the pages and flick through the knitted samples like a book.

Below are the photo's i took of the Exhibition, along with the Artist Statement.
